Whether you are an avid athlete, recovering from an injury, or just want to get in shape, this is a fantastic program. Michelle will customize your land and/or water program to meet your needs and utilize ongoing input from your Therapist if you are currently a patient. A comprehensive approach may include both our gym and warm therapy pool. Training in our pool will allow those with weight bearing issues to continue working out and stay fit with specialized equipment such as our underwater treadmill and bicycle. Furthermore, the warm water will relax and soothe your sore joints and muscles.
Highly accredited, Michelle Mudge, is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She was a member of the Varsity diving team for 2009 and 2010 seasons. During her time at UNC, she was also a research assistant for a lower extremity injury prevention study at CASL. For the past 3 years, she has been an intern with the UNC Men’s Basketball strength and conditioning coach, Jonas Sahratian. Through this experience, she has learned how to design strength programs for many different types of athletes. She recently competed in her first figure competition in Norfolk, VA where she took 4th place.
